My research focus is landscape ecology, particularly with applications for conservation biology. I embrace interdisciplinary approaches to problem-solving, and am driven to do research that will benefit conservation and management.
Welcome to the EEB Alumni News Blog! January 2, 2000.
Welcome to the Fox lab. Our group is focused on population and community ecology as well as plant-animal interactions in terrestrial systems. We are interested in how species interactions effect community structure in the diverse plant communities of California.
Welcome to the Irish Laboratory. The broad interest of our group is in understanding the genetic and molecular mechanisms that control patterning processes in plant development, with a focus on characterizing organogenesis and growth in the Arabidopsis flower. We are also interested in the extent to which these pathways are conserved or have diversified in different flowering plant species. Vivian appointed chair of MCDB. Irish lab awarded funds by NSF.
Plant evolutionary ecology, systematics and speciation. I am a plant evolutionary biologist interested in the biogeography of lineage divergence and the evolution of adaptations promoting ecological specialization. I infer phylogenies and use them as a framework to study processes that drive plant diversity using comparative methods, genomics, field and greenhouse experiments. María José Monteverde, Majo. We are in gorgeous Mexico City.
