The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb. The theft of the Just Judges. The Just Judges is the lower left panel of the Ghent Altarpiece. The Just Judges were stolen in the night of April 10th 1934, in the Saint Bavo Cathedral of Ghent. The bishop of Ghent recieved a demand of 1 million Belgian Francs. On November 25th, 1934 Arsène Goedertier revealed on his deathbed that he was the only one who knew where. The masterpiece was hidden and he took the secret to his grave.
